I was born in 1969 on the Canary Island of Tenerife and spent the first eleven years of my life there. I learned both the German and the Dutch language at the same time, as mother- and fathertongue. After moving to the Netherlands I took my A-levels there (1987) and graduated for the study of German language and literature studies (1993). I’ve?á been living and working in Germany for 17 years now.
During my studies at Universiteit Utrecht I dedicated myself to translating, a field I have been intensifying again since a couple of years. Being in daily touch with the Netherlands I feal at home in both cultures.

Of the other foreign languages I speak, the English is my best and favourite. Visiting relatives and friends in England as well as reading English literature and watching English spoken movies and BBC channels I have been able to deepen my knowledge and reached a high level. By making translations lately I have been able to further improve my English language skills.

The other languages I speak are Spanish, French and Italian. I can apply all languages during my part-time work at the sales department / customer service of a company in Bamberg.

Since the fall of 2008 I’m also teaching Dutch for beginners at the adult education centre of Bamberg, since
